I think my favorite show during New York Fashion Week was Michael Kors, and I was wearing one of my favorite looks to this show too: A dress coming straight of the Baum und Pferdgarten Spring 15 runway, my painful but oh so beautiful Celine sandals, and the usual Chanel Boy. The pink hair might have been faded by now – and with a little help of my new colorist Aura – but the memories of a great last day of my very first NYFW is still fresh in my memory!
My first time at Prabal Gurung, last week during New York Fashion Week. Mostly light pastels, asymmetrical cuts, and everywhere a little skin exposed. In a good way, though, for example with these racer backs. It makes sense in relation to the “story” behind this collection – and the one for Fall 2014 – in which a Himalaya track is the center of inspiration. Very exciting in combination with the evening gowns.
Refreshing to see models on the international runways with actual breasts. Not that I have anything against those who don’t have a full front, I for one am part of that gang, but it steps away from the idea that models have to be super skinny – also on the breast part – to walk for international well-known designers. I’m just saying…
When I got this tracksuit straight from the Baum und Pferdgarten SS15 catwalk my hair wasn’t pink. I wanted to wear it, because electric blue with blond hair is amazing. Electric blue with pink hair on the other hand is tricky. I wasn’t sure about. But the pictures proved my gut feeling. It’s a risky mix, but blue and pink does work. It’s just a little bit different from our usual do. But isn’t that what makes it all worth it, being just a little bit different. I tell you, life in pink is so much more fun…
I’m super proud of my friend Zoe Jordan who managed to shine bright on her debut at New York Fashion Week. Down at Milk Studios she showcased an amazing collection mainly consisting of perfectly structured pieces, though leathers, and foiled metallics. The tom-boy in Zoe seems to have played a big role in this new collection: Feminine, with a though edge.
