And before I knew it, I left Berlin for a short stay at Mykonos, and it was Paris on the horizon. Again, working from some place else than I’m actually writing about. In Paris and reflecting on an amazing time in Berlin with Marc Cain. It wasn’t my first time there, but surely the best one of all. The beautiful weather helped, that’s for sure, I saw the city with such different eyes in the beautiful evening lights. But even more the great team behind this German heritage brand. Young and fresh. Inspired by runways from all over the world, bringing an amazing collection to all of us.
While writing this I’m repacking my Mykonos/Paris suitcase, and getting everything in order for the next, and last, BIG THING of this month: Paris Haute Couture Week. BUT, this time it’s going to be extra special… It’s not only my actual love for Haute Couture that brings me to the city of Paris this summer, THIS time I will be spending the week in Paris with my kids! And that is for the very special reason that they were invited to attend the loveliest Bonpoint SS17 show!
How insanely cool was the Chanel Cruise 2016/17 show that was held yesterday in Havana, Cuba! I’m very much obsessed by the brogues in black/white/gold, but also quite intrigued by those little socks-in-sandals trick Karl played again. Colour-wise an absolute winner, and the cute Havana hats finished it all off perfectly. Can’t wait to see the collection in real-life, and when that happens, I will make sure to share it all on my Snapchat with you (Fashionguitar)!
With the launch of Valentino’s Star Studded Collection last week – which is undoubtedly one of my absolute favorites EVER – I could finally join my two-year-old Stella in her obsession over tulle skirts AND dedicate a post to this incredible look from last Paris Fashion Week… What is it with girls and tulle skirts?
It’s been a few days – well, let’s make this weeks – since I came back from Paris, the final leg of my Fashion Month, and Fashion Month in general, and this planned update post-Paris did clearly not go up as quick as I wanted. Happy helpers needed here, cause there is just too much to do, and too little time, I guess? Anyway, usually I come home from the city of love with a nasty fever – mostly because I’ve been wearing nothing but Spring/Summer collections, which happes to be, often, not suitable for the Parisian March weather. However, this time the health-gods ruled in my favor and the “fever”, until today, did not get to me (yet). This made that I got to spend some real quality time with Thomas and the kids upon my arrival back home, and that I could prepare properly for our family vacation to the Caribbean. More on that later. It’s time to shed some light on this dress, shall we?
