A print for a late summer weddings in the countryside, just right for when the golden hour hits, sundown perfection. Or simply to stand out in the office on a gloomy summer day. No matter where to, you wear this pair of Dolce & Gabbana pants, you will lighten up the room. And we’ve talked about this before, you know where I stand when it comes to colors and patterns; it can be a deal breaker.
As a consumer of luxury goods, I feel it’s sometimes hard to make my case for sustainability and ethical making in the fashion industry. However, I believe, too, that every little bit can help in making a difference. Together we can make it a movement…
As cliché as it sounds, I’m often wondering “where did the time go”! With James turning 6 soon and Stella starting school next school year, they suddenly went from my babies to big kids. I must admit, it does scare me a little bit too… It only seems so little ago when I held them in my arms for the first time. The most life-changing moment in my life for sure.
For a Dutch person I’m small, or short, but I would never have had an issue with that, if it weren’t for the daily reminder during my young adolescent life – I have two gorgeous younger sisters who have been quite a bit taller than me from since the moment they were born, so to speak. Not that I really cared, my interests had moved away from looking at myself, to looking at boys, which was much more fun anyway! How ironic that roughly ten years later I created some sort of modeling in which I was able to wear those beautiful designer dresses without being 1.75 or having the perfect “I’m not smiling” smile: I became a blogger…
When one of my long time favorite New York brands came to me and proposed to work together on a little pre-summer project, I was instantly excited. That’s what usually happens when brands that are close to my heart reach out, but this one in specific. EDUN – the iconic, bold, and empowering brand founded in 2005 by Ali Hewson and Bono – was one of the first brands I got in contact with after I moved from London to New York. Not only was I captivated by the amazing designs, but also by the great stories behind it. Let’s put it this way: I remember the first time coming to their showroom, a cold and sunny spring morning in Soho, it was like stepping into a warm bath…
