Preparing for Spring with a freshly picked selection of shoes and bags, that’s what we all love, don’t we? I’ve my eyes on strappy lace-up sandals, denim culottes, and fringe, lots of fringe. Though I must admit, I’m swamped in the number of “must-have” pieces for SS15, and some days I just don’t know where to start with “what I want”. Let me help you with that! There’s nothing more exciting than exploring your favorite designer’s new collection. Or actually, there is something more exciting… What about discovering designers you’ve never heard about before?
Whenever it’s Milan Fashion Week and I see the street style shots passing by, together with some amazing show coverage, I regret not being there. This season again; I can’t stop saying how amazing it looks, everything on any feed I come across. So I had to conclude: next season I’m going to be there! And in that spirit I put some Milano-inspired looks together to shoot yesterday – unfortunately when Jeff and I just set foot outside, it started to snow again. Nonetheless, two perfect Milano looks, which I would both wear for sure, if it wasn’t snowing. Especially this one from today…
The wait is almost over, one more sleep and on the 26th Amsterdam can proudly say they have a Topshop! Somehow I’m thinking “why did this take so long?” I mean, we Dutch girls can be pretty fashion forward, we have a Vogue magazine that creates some of the world’s best editorials, and we travel fashion month to see our favorite designers. Oh and we also just LOVE fashion. Anyhow, even though I’m not personally there to celebrate this festive milestone with all of you – I wish so terribly much I was – you guys have to make sure you’re heading there as soon as you can, and report back to me how much you love the store!
Another big plus about having our own Topshop, you’ve probably noticed I’ve been wearing quite some cool Topshop pieces recently, but some weren’t online available – sorry, still talking to my Dutch girls. Now, when this is the case, you can hop on the train and pay a little visit to beautiful Amsterdam to raid the new store!
Earlier this week, in between shows, presentations, and fancy press drinks, I experienced one moment of ultimate calmness… Interesting enough this was at one of the most popular high-street stores we know. The store which has Cara as its godmother, Kate Foley as style insider, and millions of girls as their street style models. However, next to their usual shopping experience – filled with latest trends and every season a really cool runway collection – they offer a quiet section, filled with as many beautiful clothes as you want, a fresh bottle of water, and happy smiling people: the Topshop personal shopping space.
