First of all I want to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas, and secondly, thank you for coming to my blog today to find out what I’m up to, while you must have so many things going on already. At least that’s the case for me, because despite the support I get from my family, working on first Christmas Day, really? Yes… but I guess that comes a little bit with what I do. You want to see what I do on days like these, and how I do it, but more importantly, what I wear when at it. Right? Now I’m not able to share photos from Christmas at home – my photographers deserve a day off too – but my Holiday celebrations with Chloe I can share!
The Holidays wouldn’t be complete without a little bit of glitter, even for those who are not into glitter, sequin, or metallics… Like me… generally speaking. But as I said, it’s for the Holidays, and there I happily make an exception. So as a true Cinderella in the City I’m taking this Maje Holiday dress downtown Manhattan for little bit of Holiday shopping…
The holiday season is upon us, and as trivial as it sounds – and might actually be after the horrible events that happened over the past weeks – I believe we should keep celebrating joyful moments together. Hence I teamed up with one of my favorite contemporary brands, and put together the perfect holiday wardrobe.
From all the winter coats I like and wear, my wardrobe has always been lacking that oneperfectdownjacket. One that goes well with my skirts, my dresses, and favorite pair of jean. One that doesn’t destroys my look by it’s looks – because let’s be honest, the warmer they get, the less fashionable they become… unless you are wearing fur perhaps? But that is a sensitive topic, one that we are definitely not discussing today… Actually, I’m going to stay away from it for as long as I can and stock my winter wardrobe with these perfect little down jackets, because yes, they do exist!
A little over a year ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. It came to me as a complete shock, but I’ve survived, and I’m here to tell the story. Nowadays almost everyone if affected by cancer in some way, whether it’s yourself or someone around you. Being diagnosed with this disease is terribly scary, and even something you naively never imagined to happen to yourself or your beloved ones. I was in shock, and it had a huge impact on my emotional well-being. Suddenly I wasn’t sure about my life, seeing my kids grow up, and doing all those things I had planned for the future – something I had taken for granted all along.
