When it’s officially really warm, I’m spending most of my day bare feet. Of course, only when I’m working from home, and not when I’m running out to grab lunch or an iced coffee. I mean, I feel really comfortable in my neighborhood, but going out bare feet would bit off, wouldn’t it? So when I dress for that really warm day, which I then spend at my home-office, I dress comfortable, but just enough “dressed up” so that when Thomas comes home after work, I could potentially slip on some heels, and run off for dinner.
In my desperate search for summer, for warm sunbeams and extreme amounts of vitamin D, I decided to take manners in my own hands. So whenever the sun turns up, even though it’s still a little bit cold, I simple refuse to wear any of sweaters, but instead I find a spot where no wind blows, but fragile rays of sunlight can still find my skin, I warm up, in the most beautiful floral dress, velvet sneakers with light reflecting embellishments, and elegant fine jewelry. I might even dare to take of my jacket, take out my sunglasses, and dance a little sundance…
I am typically a person who is always on time. Because let’s be honest, there is rarely a good reason for being late. In my opinion, it’s just a matter of planning and if you time things well, you will make it on time. But how come I’ve been late to certain very important things recently? How could I have let that happen while wiping all excuses for being late off the table even before they are made?
Early mornings on the Lower East Side, on my way to grab a coffee for Thomas and me, and some freshly baked bagels for the kids. Just before the spring rain started pouring down on my head, I met with Jeff to shoot a few of my favorite pieces from the Chloe Sun Collection. The thing that I loved most about this collection is the coloring. You know me, I’m the denim/navy white type of girl, who loves to take a d-tour to the land of brights every now and then, but when it comes down to picking favorites, it’s the nautical palette that wins.
Although the sun did not show itself while taking shots in the new and exclusive Chloe Sun 2016 Collection, this cute little dress screams summer! Of course a pair of slightly tanned legs, a white shirt and a pair of Converse helped adding a little sunshine to these images, but in the end the print and design of the dress really made me feel all warm and happy – even when it’s not that warm outside yet…
